I worked at SELF for six years, first as the Special Project Director, and then as the Digital Director.
My days included strategizing and managing SELF’s tentpole projects. I worked across all subject verticals, including beauty, health, culture, and fitness; and worked with several teams including editorial, creative, social, marketing, sales, pr, licensing, legal, commerce, and more. I organized the popular SELF Run Club fall 2017 series, led the team for a SELF x Beyond Yoga capsule apparel collection, and launched numerous fitness challenges, awards, and other large-scale content packages. I also launched six newsletters and worked closely with social media.
Check out some of my favorite projects below.

The Messenger was a general news startup. As the inaugural editor for the health and wellness vertical, my job was to build a team fast, launch, and get traffic.
During the time the website was live, the health team was responsible for publishing exclusive enterprise and breaking news; and attracting millions of readers. In my role, I was responsible for day-to-day operations, plus working closely with sales to concept and respond to RFPs.
Here’s a look at some of the highlights we published:

I was part of a small group that operated as a startup within Hearst Entertainment & Syndication. I worked on CosmoBody, a subscription video digital platform that was an extension of the Cosmopolitan brand. I created the editorial calendar, social media strategy, assisted on set, and pitched ideas to executives.
I also appeared on camera as a host for food, fashion, and dating segments (clips at right). CosmoBody is now available on YouTube. A few of my favorite videos are below.

I started out at The Knot as an assistant editor mainly working on WeddingChannel.com. By the time I left, I'd covered the royal wedding, edited, pitched, and written for the national and regional Florida magazines, and TheKnot.com. I also appeared as a wedding expert on national TV shows including the Today Show, Access Hollywood, Inside Edition, and Fox & Friends. My work was syndicated nationally in the L.A. Times, MSN, and Yahoo.

Maybe the coolest job any New Yorker can hope for. I got my start at the NY Daily News in the features department, covering fashion week, red carpet events, and a slew of local New York happenings. (Oh, and I also wore some bizarre shoes.)

I worked at Aol first as a homepage editor during the day, and then as the night editor in charge after 5 p.m. I covered heartbreaking national events, including the Boston marathon bombing. Thankfully, I also covered exciting moments like the World Series and numerous celebrity gossip items.
